Die Soziale Marktwirtschaft aus dem Blickwinkel von Schulbüchern in NRW

To follow current surveys, the acceptance of our economic system achieves low values for a large part of the German population. But is the crisis of meaning of the social market economy just a current phenomenon? Or is a widespread lack of understanding on economic issues cause for the formation of the dilemma? The authors examine the question whether the problem is caused by a communication crisis at school. Therefore the construct of the social market economy from the perspective of textbooks in NRW will be examined. The results of this didactic reflection should to assist the search for the trouble spot.
