After more than 2500 years of philosophy, it is very hard to leave a new and lasting trace in this perennial human enterprise. A pretty sure sign of such a trace is that people begin to wonder what exacdy it is that the philosopher claims. To ask such a question is to do historiography of philosophy; its task is not to figure out whether what is being claimed is true and whether how it is argued for is valid. Rather, the task is to decipher what is being claimed; after all, how are we to say whether a given proposition is true or an argument sound, if we don’t know what the proposition says or the argument is in the first place?

In recent years, gamified e-learning earned its place in higher education. Aligned to the audience, the content and the learning goals design elements are orchestrated around the backbone of any gamified intervention: the story. The art of storytelling is old and well-established, but digital storytelling is not yet fully explored. To narrow the gap, this chapter derives a solution space for design parameters for digital storytelling from key literature. Informed by this solution space, the next iteration of a gamified e-learning environment on procurement, manufacturing, and sales supported by the Enterprise Resource Planning System SAP S/4 HANA could evolve to add to the body of knowledge. This solution space can inform teachers, e-learning designers, and researchers and accelerate the creative process of digital storytelling.

Make no mistake: It is impossible to interpret Kant’s account of duties of love in §§23—26 of the Tugendlehre in just twenty pages or so. I will not even try to provide such an interpretation. I will provide, however, a partial interpretation that shall demonstrate why it is impossible to interpret Kants theory in only a few pages. At the same time, I will sketch a research program to show what kind of work needs to be done.

The article deals with the uncritical transfer of the argumentation of the style clashes between moderate and functionalist modernity of the 1920s to the present and the corresponding one-sided evaluation according to functionalist prejudices. The focus of the study is the Gartenstadt Staaken by the architect Paul Schmitthenner, which was one of the most progressive urban development projects in Germany at the time of its creation (1914 ff.). This example illustrates the absurdity and ridiculousness of the ideologically narrowed argumentation that is put forward from time to time.

In section 1 of GMS III, Kant claims that “a free will and a will under moral laws are the same” (447.6–10). 1 h is claim expresses Kant’s concept of autonomy; after all, the concept of freedom is the “key” (446.6) to this concept. So if we understand freedom in its relation to morality, we understand autonomy. But how are we to understand this relation? On the standard reading, Kant’s claim is that a free will is under the moral law as a Categorical Imperative (CI); hence, once it is shown that we are free it is shown that we are obliged by the CI. 2 h is interpretation, I will argue, is incorrect.

Contribution to the catalogue for the highly acclaimed exhibition 'Moderne Architektur in Deutschland; Reform und Tradition' in the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt/Main. The text deals also intensively with the projections, myths and misinterpretations and reveals the outstanding importance of this garden city for the construction of housing estates in the early 20th century.

Kant’s deduction of the categorical imperative is the answer to the following question: “How is a categorical imperative possible?” The answer is given in subsection 4 (Sec. 4) of chapter three of the Groundwork. It is impossible to understand this answer, and hence impossible to understand Kant’s deduction of the moral law, without taking into account the overall context of Groundwork III (GMS III). However, here I can only sketch the overall structure of GMS III, and therefore only present a sketch of what I call Kant’s thesis of analyticity.1 This thesis is developed in Sec. 1 of GMS III; however, it appears time and again in GMS III, and it deserves special attention (part 1). Part 2, then, offers a close reading and analysis of Kant’s deduction.

Die Geschichte der Philosophie und Theologie ist reich an Theorien darüber, was das Gewissen ist. Dies verwundert nicht, ist doch das Gewissen ein moralisches Phänomen, mit dem wir alle vertraut sind und das wir als Anlage, so jedenfalls Kant, alle „haben“ (EXII: 399,7)1, sofern wir überhaupt Menschen sind. Dies und die Tatsache, dass Kant in seinen ethischen Schriften immer wieder die Nähe seiner Überlegungen zur .gemeinen sittlichen Vemunfterkenntnis1 betont, macht es um so überraschender, in Kants Grundlegung und in der zweiten Kritik so gut wie nichts über das Gewissen zu lesen. Erst in der Religionsschrift und dann in der Tugendlehre entwirft Kant so etwas wie eine Theorie oder Philosophie dieses „wundersamen Vermögens“ (KpV: 98). Obwohl diese Philosophie des Gewissens selbstverständlich Elemente enthält, wie sie auch in der Tradition zu finden sind, bildet sie doch eine ganz eigene, komplexe und weitreichende Theorie, die eine genauere philosophische Untersuchung lohnend macht.

Hegels Werk hat das eigenartige Schicksal, zugleich außerordentlich einfluß- reich und völlig unverstanden oder zumindest radikal divergierend interpre- tiert worden zu sein.Nun ist es zwar nicht unüblich, daß Philosophen unterschiedlich interpretiert werden. Bei Hegel grenzt die Vielfalt und Wider- sprüchlichkeit der Interpretationen allerdings ans Absurde: Vermutlich wur- den ihm alle möglichen Positionen zwischen absolutem Idealismus und spe- kulativer Metaphysik auf der einen sowie Relativismus und Historizismus auf der anderen Seite zugeschrieben.

"Die demografische Entwicklung, aber auch der medizinische Fortschritt haben bereits in der Vergangenheit dazu geführt, dass der Bedarf an Pflegepersonal in der Kranken- und Altenpflege gestiegen ist. Diese Entwicklung wird sich fortsetzen... Die Prognosen über die zu erwartende Versorgungslücke fallen dabei unterschiedlich aus. Dies stellt eine Herausforderung für die künftige Fachkräftesicherung dar. Sie wird verschärft durch die Tatsache, dass bereits jetzt ein bundesweiter Fachkräftemangel bei examinierten Alten- und Krankenpflegern herrscht" (Bundesagentur für Arbeit 2019, S. 5). Diese Analyse der Bundesagentur für Arbeit beschreibt ein Problem, das für viele Pflegeeinrichtungen dramatische Ausprägungen angenommen hat. Der Fachkräftemangel in der Pflege ist – in vielen Regionen Deutschlands – enorm. Zur Begründung wird in diesem Zusammenhang immer wieder auf die mangelnde Attraktivität des Pflegeberufes verwiesen. Die Attraktivität wird dabei durch unterschiedliche Faktoren eingeschränkt, zum Beispiel durch die körperlich und psychisch beanspruchende Tätigkeit, die häufig unter hohem Zeitdruck zu erbringen ist und vergleichsweise schlecht vergütet wird. Darüber hinaus ist die work-life-Balance von Pflegekräften durch Arbeit im Schichtdienst beeinträchtigt.
