Publication Access status: Open Access , "Fast wahr"(2009)The article deals with the uncritical transfer of the argumentation of the style clashes between moderate and functionalist modernity of the 1920s to the present and the corresponding one-sided evaluation according to functionalist prejudices. The focus of the study is the Gartenstadt Staaken by the architect Paul Schmitthenner, which was one of the most progressive urban development projects in Germany at the time of its creation (1914 ff.).
