Kommunen zwischen Resistenz, Resilienz und Akkommodation

Abstract

Der folgende Beitrag zeigt exemplarisch auf, wie interaktionslinguistische und diskurslinguistische Verfahren ineinandergreifen, indem anhand eines in der Stadt Viernheim regelmäßig stattfindenden Beteiligungsformats, dem „Vereinsfrühschoppen“, die Interaktionspraxis während der Veranstaltung und die veranstaltungsbegleitende Presseberichterstattung verglichen werden. Hierzu werden zunächst die Begriffe der politischen Kommunikation (2) und Partizipation eingeführt und auf den betrachteten Gegenstand bezogen (3). Anschließend werden Auszüge aus der Interaktion vor Ort betrachtet und mit Blick auf resistente, resiliente und sich anpassende Verhaltensweisen zum Zwecke der Selbstpositionierung seitens Bürgermeister und kommunaler Verwaltung untersucht (4). Die Betrachtung der lokalen Presseberichterstattung gibt daraufhin einen Einblick in die Fremdperspektivierung der Veranstaltung und der Interaktion vor Ort in der Presse (5). Im Rahmen eines Fazits werden Interaktionspraxis und Presseberichterstattung abschließend gegenübergestellt (6).

The following article exemplifies how interactional linguistic and discourse linguistic procedures intertwine by comparing the interactional practice during a municipal event and the press coverage accompanying the event. The study is based on the participation format Vereinsfrühschoppen that takes place in the city of Viernheim on a regular basis. For this purpose, the concepts of political communication (2) and participation are first introduced and related to the object under consideration (3). Then, transcript excerpts from the on-site interaction will be considered and examined with a view to resistant, resilient, and adapting behaviour for the purpose of self-positioning on the part of the mayor and municipal administration (4). The examination of local press coverage provides an insight into the external perspective on the event and the on-site interaction in the local press (5). In a conclusion, interaction practice and press coverage are compared (6).
