Sprache und Werke von vier Trobadors im Licht der Forschung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung fremdsprachlicher und dialektaler Einflüsse

The works of four troubadours - namely William 9th of Aquitanine, Peire Cardenal, Peire Vidal and Marcabru - are examined with regard to content and language. The above-named troubadours were chosen because of their degree of fame and celebrity. In addition the presented choice is taking into account diachronic and regional aspects. By means of spot checks and including well-known pieces of lyric poetry not only the essential developments in research of literary studies are presented, but especially exceptional features of their language concerning foreign and dialectal forms are analyzed having regard to specific characteristics of the manuscripts. In the wide field of troubadour research a survey concerning the works of four famous troubadours is given to get a general and introductory idea of their linguistic skilfulness.
